Yoga Alliance–Certified Teacher Trainings & Online Offerings

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in all programs, trainings, classes, workshops, retreats, digital content, and services (“Offerings”) provided by Samavaya (“School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Yoga Alliance–certified 200-Hour and 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings (“YTT”). 

By enrolling in or accessing any Offering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 

 

  1. Eligibility and Enrollment

Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. 

Enrollment is non-transferable unless explicitly approved in writing by the School. 

 

  1. Program Structure and Delivery

Offerings may include: 

  • Live online sessions (e.g., Zoom) 
  • Hybrid classes, including live on-line sessions and in-person sessions 
  • Pre-recorded modules 
  • Written materials and manuals 
  • Group discussions and practicum hours 
  • Assessments, assignments, and teaching evaluations 

Program formats, schedules, faculty, and content may change as needed to maintain educational integrity and compliance with Yoga Alliance standards. 

 

  1. Yoga Alliance Certification

For Yoga Alliance–certified trainings: 

  • Completion certificates are issued only after fulfilling all required contact hours, non-contact hours, assignments, attendance, and assessments. 
  • Completion of a YTT does not guarantee registration or acceptance by Yoga Alliance. 
  • Yoga Alliance registration is the sole responsibility of the participant and subject to Yoga Alliance policies and fees. 

 

  1. Health Disclaimer

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that involves movement, breathwork, meditation, and lifestyle study. 

You acknowledge and agree that: 

  • You are responsible for consulting a qualified healthcare professional before participating. 
  • You will practice within your own physical and mental limits. 
  • The School does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. 

 

  1. Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation in yoga and teacher training activities may involve risk of injury, illness, emotional release, or physical strain. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown. 

 

  1. Waiver and Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the School, its owners, teachers, staff, assistants, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in any Offering. 

 

  1. Tuition, Payments, and Fees
  • Tuition fees are listed at the time of enrollment. 
  • Full payment, approved payment plans, discounts or scholarships are completed according to the agreed schedule. 
  • Failure to complete payments may result in suspension or removal from the Program without certification. 

All prices are subject to change and may exclude taxes or processing fees. 

 

  1. Refund, Withdrawal, and Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise stated in writing: 

  • Deposits are non-refundable once the Program has commenced or digital content has been accessed. Partial refund of tuition and fees is at the discretion of the School. 
  • Withdrawal from a YTT does not entitle the participant to a full refund or partial certification. 
  • Missed sessions are the responsibility of the participant and may require make-up work if permitted. 

Any exceptions are at the sole discretion of the School and must be approved in writing. 

 

  1. Attendance and Participation Requirements

For YTT programs: 

  • Full attendance is required for certification. Any absence must be arranged with the instructor. 
  • Excessive absences may result in delayed or denied certification. 
  • Active participation, assignments, and teaching practicums are required. 

 

  1. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to: 

  • Act with respect, professionalism, and integrity 
  • Honor confidentiality within group discussions 
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior 

The School reserves the right to dismiss any participant who violates this Code of Conduct, without refund. 

 

  1. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, recordings, manuals, logos, and curriculum are the intellectual property of the School. 

You may not: 

  • Share or distribute materials without permission 
  • Record sessions without permission 
  • Reproduce content for teaching or commercial use 

Written permission is required for any reuse of materials. 

 

  1. Technology and Access

Participants are responsible for: 

  • Reliable internet access 
  • Compatible devices and software 
  • Timely access to course materials 

The School is not responsible for technical issues outside its control. 

 

  1. Recording and Media Consent

Live sessions may be recorded for educational purposes. By participating, you consent to being recorded and acknowledge that recordings may be shared with enrolled students only. 

 

  1. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or misuse participant data. 

 

  1. Modifications to Terms or Programs

The School reserves the right to update these Terms or modify program content as needed. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms. 

 

  1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.
